RMCO's Officers and Staff

Stephen Saunders, President. Stephen founded RMCO after retiring from an earlier career in government and politics, which inlucuded serving in the Clinton Administration as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Department of the Interior over the National Park Service and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. He also served as the national policy director in a presidential campaign and in several senior congressional staff positions, including as staff director for a congressional policy and reform office in the U.S. House Democratic Caucus and for two members of Congress and a professional staff member of two congressional committees. He also has overseen one statewide political campaigns and five congressional campaigns. Stephen has a law degree from the University of Denver. Tom Easley, Director of Programs. Tom is the former director of statewide programs for Colorado State Parks, where he managed policy, planning, resource stewardship, and other programs. He also has worked as a state lobbyist on natural resource issues for progressive organizations and as wilderness coordinator for a statewide environmental coalition. Suzanne Farver, Director of Outreach. Suzanne is a member of the board of trustees of Rocky Mountain Institute, an internationally prominent "think-and-do tank" on energy and resource efficiency. She also is a sustainability consultant and lecturer, lawyer, and former nonprofit manager. Suzanne has a law degree from the University of Denver and a masters degree in environmental management from Harvard University. Steven Tuttle, Director of Development. Steven has spent the past 20 years in various leadership positions in the non-profit sector with an emphasis on resource development, public relations and marketing. Faye Diamond, Secretary-Treasurer of RMCO, works in her regular job at RBI Strategy and Research, a Denver-based political research and consulting firm.
