Less Available Water:
More Need for Water

Higher temperatures also lead to less useable water, as evaporation of water from reservoirs, streams, ditches and the ground would increase.

Most of the world may see an increase in overall precipitation, as the water cycle heats up. But here, the effects of increased evaporation may more than counteract any increase in precipitation.

“Higher air temperatures increase the rate of evaporation, removing moisture from the soil faster than it can be added by increased precipitation, resulting in net soil moisture declines for a large part of the Great Plains.”
